What to do when your existing business feels like a sweater that SHRUNK?!

Several months ago it happened to me…
I realized… My business doesn’t fit me anymore! Oh-my-goodness right!? Breathe Gina, Breathe…
And, the reality was that it hadn’t fit me for quite a while but I was so busy (and determined) trying to be something I no longer was I didn’t see the forest beyond the tree. Oh my nose was pressed against it tight… until now.
So what’s a girl to do?
I mean what a waste it would be to say goodbye to an existing business. A business that I’ve invested years into and is profitable too. Right?
I’m not convinced…
I believe the bigger waste would be to continue going through the motions to maintain something I’m no longer passionate about.
Maintain… there’s something so boring and inauthentic for me in that word. I love to learn and grow and give and make a difference. To maintain is to be status quo and that is totally not me. And that’s whether it’s me doing the maintaining or my team doing it. At the end of the day – I’m not growing and thriving.
I deserve better and the people I’m meant to serve deserve better too.
I have to admit it’s kinda scary but wicked exciting at the same time!
If I say goodbye to what I’ve been doing for so long, it feels a little bit like starting from scratch. But, I have a feeling – a knowing – that the passion fueling my new direction will propel me far beyond the success I already have right now.
I’m excited for this new chapter in my life and my business.
And I’m SO grateful to be sharing the transition with YOU.
My newest site GinaBellinc.com “Your Certain Way to Fun, Fame and Fortune!” is just the beginning of this journey.
And, rather than say goodbye to our existing companies like The Networking Masters, I’m re-inventing them to better serve our network and support everyone’s next steps.
It’s going to be awesome!!
So stay tuned for all the exciting details… from the evolution of The Networking Masters to all of my amazing new programs and products – coming soon.
My Best,
Gina xo

Gina –
I saw your post on FaceBook. Just the first few sentences… read like something I had just written. Only 8 weeks ago I made a decision to let go of the business I’ve been running and loving for most of the last 6 years. My passion was waning… I didn’t feel called to do the core services in that business any longer.
And so, like you, I’m reinventing, emerging in truer form, updated-authenticity.
Here’s to your evolution, and to mine ~ and the many people we will serve with the grace of being true to ourselves.
Be Well,
Tambra
Bravo Gina! Congrats on your new direction and not sticking with something that didn’t fit just because it did at one time. Looking forward to watching this new evolution unfold. Yay you!
Melani
Hi Tambra, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and experience. How fantastic that you had the courage to re-invent yourself too. And wow… it definitely requires courage
Creating and serving others from the updated authenticity motivates me big time! So excited. ~ Gina xo
Awww Melani thanks so much! Means a lot that you took the time to post
I’ve watched you really step into your authenticity and passion this year. It’s very inspiring!!
Gina,
Must be something in the air, because I am doing the same exact thing right now! It’s a bit scary but mostly invigorating! Congrats to you for having the courage to follow your heart and do what feels authentic. I’ve come to learn in 11 years of business that the only constant is change. I think it’s important to keep growing and evolving. The world is moving so fast right now, if you stay in one place you will most certainly be passed by!
Enjoy your new journey. I know you will be wildly successful!
Debbie
Gina,
I enjoyed reading your post. I feel like in a way, I’ve been going through some of the same things in my life and business. It’s encouraging to see someone else verbalize it. Life is bigger than just the one area we’ve zeroed in on for 11 or 12 years. Touching people’s lives is bigger than that.
thanks again!
Dayna
Hi Dayna, I love your insight and I agree… life and touching people’s lives IS bigger than just one thing. From that realization I’ve learned to be completely authentic… the people I’m meant to work with (serve) will be attracted to me, just the way I am. Paying attention to and trusting my intuition is playing a much bigger role for me too. Faith and self-trust is very much the theme for my current transition.
Are you being pulled in a new direction but not sure how to (or if you should) follow it? I put off making changes and doing what I really want to be doing for a long time because I wasn’t sure how to make it work. Where ever you may be with that – good luck!
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and I wish you mega success!
~ Gina
Gina I’m inspired by your honesty and courage. Your brilliance shines through in what you do and I’m sure you will be successful. Like you, I too am striving to work with more authenticity and purpose. With an 11 year track record as a “doer” (doing whatever it takes to get the job done), I’m finding this requires digging deeper than I ever have before. I will continue to watch your progress as I go through my re-invention as well. Wishing you great success.
Hi Leanne, thanks so much for taking the time to comment. It means a great deal to me to know I’m not alone in my transformation. Stepping up in a true and authentic way has been a breath of fresh air for me. For the longest time I was stuck trying to live up to a “label” that no longer fit AND comparing myself to others (never feeling like a measured up).
I’m so grateful to have amazing mentors and colleagues that are quick to remind me when I’m not being “me”. I’ve finally got the strategies and support I need to shift into that next level of success for me.
I’m in love with being an entrepreneur again
woohoo!
Wishing you tons of good fortune with your re-invention too Leanne! Stay in touch!
